It can be a booster for a bunch of things: meeting new people in different countries and cultures, finding and seizing new economic opportunities - but as well for social isolation and loneliness. Originally from northern Germany, never moved or looked back. Working remotely in marketing, sales, project management and business development since 7+ years, lived in 10 countries around the globe, speaking 6 languages fluently.
